Foreign Software Outsourcing Is A Good Thing
March 18th, 2009 | by 4reign |Many companies choose to outsource their software development and other IT needs offshore. In other words, these companies choose to use service providers in other countries. Just like domestic outsourcing, the company contracting the outsourced services doesn’t really care how the provider goes about achieving the results; instead they focus only on the results that are achieved.
The most obvious reason for foreign outsourcing is that it results in lower costs. Businesses are always looking for ways to save money on their expenses because it raises the bottom line which is profits. But there are also some other positive reasons for this foreign outsourcing.
There is usually an improved level of support to the end user. Since the grunt work has already been done by someone else, the company can focus more on customer service than if they were also trying to do this software development. Also, this allows the business to focus on its own core business. Again, the fewer things the business has to do on a daily basis will allow it to pay more attention to the things that are important. So while some people would argue that foreign outsourcing is a bad thing, it is actually a good thing that improves the businesses that use it.

Outsourcing has actually become so much a buzz word all over the world only because of one reason and that is qaulity work at lower costs so that companies can save on their processes. You hit the nail right on the head.

I have used Indian programmers for years and have had a lot of success. Many will work a lot cheaper than US contractors and will produce better quality of work.

Outsourced programmers are a great way to save money by many businesses. The quality of work is usually far superior to American programmers and you typically get great support as well.

I can add to the recommendations of using outsourcing to save money and increase work quality. I did it with my own company and noticed a lot of good results that came from it.
