Is there a solution when you have 80 thousands customers who pay a monthly fee to know who paid or not ?

We are a small organization, only trying to help out people in third world countries to access to computer classes. What we ask the parents are to pay the fees required to pay for electricity and the maintenance of these computers.
So we don´t have the big budgets to spend on software specialists.
What I would like to have, is some kind of database, connected to an infrared peripheral. When the kid pass the cards, we could know if he is in good status or not. I would like to know if such a software exist, for let say, less then $300, and if so, the name of this software.
Please help, a whole project to help disadvantaged kids is in jeopardy for a few people taking advantage of us not being able to control who pays and when. Thank you !
Just want to add: I was talking about a bar code reader, wrongly stated infrared reader.
Also… I stated third world country, not internet access and online payment (for those who did no get this! )

There are solutions but they cost money. You should submit a proposal to one or more Foundations to fund the programing project.
You mention “a few people taking advantage” - it is more like a whole bunch of people - they are smart enough to see that you have no controls.

My heart goes out to this. I know I could design something but unfourtunatly I am only a student and would have no Idea how to take input from an infared scanner otherwise it’s a pretty basic program. I am truly sorry I cannot help but I just wanted to offer encourgment that I know there are people out there who can help. Try a college or something they might do it for free just to learn

The database up to write this for the payment processing system that keeps the database up payment information after it has been processed by 3rd party such as yourpay paypay dont know of anyone who is.
